Laundry Room Before and After

Hi all!

I'm here to share the $45 makeover I gave our laundry room.  Mind you I know it's nothing spectacular but it does look a lot better.  Our laundry room was a hot mess with stuff everywhere.

Here are a few before pictures:

A fresh coat of paint and 4 new baskets and here is the after:

I found these baskets for a few dollars at Walmart and made the tags with some supplies I had around the house.  I organized everything and got rid of a lot of junk.

Again, I know it's nothing amazing but it took a few hours and a few bucks and it looks so much better.  The laundry room is also a mud room so we are in and out of it a lot.  It is also right off the kitchen so people do see it a fair amount so it feels nice for it to look more pulled together.

Hi all!  I'm here battling a bad cold or flu or something.  Yuck.  I have a few things I need to photograph and share but I can't make myself get off the couch to do anything.  Soon.

I'm copping out and sharing a few photos I have pinned recently:

Hope you're having a good week!

Hi all!

Did you have a nice weekend?  We did!  My mother in law was here and we had a nice visit.  Jacob and I painted the laundry room and worked outside....more on that later.  In the meantime I wanted to share a few "dream kitchen" photos I have pinned.

A girl can dream, right?!

I'll be back with pictures of what we completed over the weekend soon.

Guest Bedroom Reveal

Hi all!

I'm finally here to share the guest bedroom! For around $260 I made quite a few changes and think it has quite the dramatic impact.

If you will remember we started with this:

It was too dark and boring and I was at a dead end trying to make the brown and blue work. A few pieces bought and new paint on the wall and here is the after:

Source List and Budget Breakdown:

White Coverlet $30 HomeGoods
Curtains $15/each BBB
Leaning Mirror $100 HomeGoods
Dressers $35/each IKEA
Paint $30 SW's version of BM Bleeker Beige
Plates already had Marshalls
Duvet already had Target
Butterfly Prints already had calendar framed
Sailboat Painting already had Purchased on our Honeymoon
Curtain Rod already had Target
Lamps already had Target
Pillow already had Target

It goes to show that if you pull from around your house, give a room a fresh coat of paint, and buy a few new things you can really make a big difference and give a room a whole new feel.

Have a great weekend!

Spring Cleaning

Hello!

With company coming this weekend and nice weather out I'm knee deep in spring cleaning. I am amazed at how big a difference just washing the baseboards and blinds can make. Maybe I'm the only one that notices but man, it makes me happy. I'm pretty sure that makes me weird and I'm okay with it.

Here is my list (until I think of something else to add):

In an effort to not be just all words here are some cool organization photos I have pinned:

What's on your spring cleaning list?

Hi all!

I have started the process of planning M's party and the theme is going to be strawberry. I loved strawberry shortcake as a kid (I'm talking full on bedspread, curtains, sheets, etc) and I love all things vintage strawberry. I knew I wanted to do pinks and reds so a strawberry theme was perfect!

Here is an idea board I came up with for her party:
I plan to serve several strawberry foods and have fun paper goods throughout the house.

Happy Friday!

Pinterest Pretties!

Hi all!

We are back from a lovely weekend in Texas visiting family. It was M's first Easter and we had a great time but man, it feels good to be home! We are at a bit of a standstill in the house so I apologize for the lack of projects. Hopefully I'll be back on track soon! In the meantime, here are some images I have pinned recently.
